Family Orientation

New Student & Family Programs will host a Virtual Orientation for students and families due to health concerns related to COVID-19. Through a variety of videos and informational slides, family members will learn more about areas of their student’s college experience. Participating in Orientation is a great opportunity for family members to gain information about Florida State University and truly understand their student’s transition to college. Our virtual family orientation program is designed to be very informative and engaging.

Here are a few topics explored during family orientation:

  • University Housing
  • Financial Aid
  • On-campus dining
  • Academic life at FSU
  • Campus safety
  • University Health Services

Students can pre-register family members for Orientation through their myFSU portal (https://www.my.fsu.edu/). The cost per family member is $35.00. If you have any questions, contact New Student & Family Programs.
