About Family Orientation

Family Orientation is a great opportunity for parents and family members to gain information about Florida State University and learn about the resources, services, and programs available to both you and your student as you navigate the transition to college. During your scheduled orientation session, you will have the opportunity to participate in live presentations, Q&A sessions, small groups, and panels with current students and staff via Zoom. You will also receive access to the New 'Nole Orientation modules and learn about opportunities for additional engagement through New Student & Family Programs.

Here are a few topics explored during Family Orientation:

  • Academic life at FSU
  • Financial Aid
  • University Housing
  • On-campus dining
  • Campus safety
  • University Health Services

Students can register family members for Family Orientation through their myFSU portal (https://www.my.fsu.edu/). The cost per family member is $35. If you have any questions, please contact New Student & Family Programs.
