The Career Center Goes Virtual

The Career Center is your student’s hub for career services, professional advice, and personal development during and after their time at Florida State University. The Career Center serves students, alumni, and several additional members of the FSU community when it comes to finding jobs after college, obtaining an internship or experience in a field, applying for graduate school, and general professional development.

Each semester, the Career Center hosts its Career Fair Week on campus for the community. While this year is different from previous years due to the Coronavirus, you and your student can rest assured that this valuable week of events will continue to be offered virtually.

Career Fair Week allows students and alumni to interact with various employers during career fairs, internship fairs, resume consultations, and more. This week-long series of events will take place September 17-24 with different virtual events taking place each day.

The Career Center’s motivation to help students find the right job or internship for them does not end with Career Fair Week. Throughout this semester, the Career Center has various events and workshops planned virtually for the FSU community to attend. These events can include panels and networking surrounding opportunities like graduate and professional schools, law school, health professions, government, social services, education, and more. FSUshadow, another opportunity for students to shadow and network with employers in a desired field of work, will take place virtually at the end of the semester for students.

Not only can students take advantage of these informational workshops and events, the Career Center continues to offer their usual services remotely for students as well. Students can continue to use NoleNetwork, ProfessioNOLE Mentors, career advising, and other resources online.
