Food for Thought Pantry

Important Notice

Until in-person classes resume, The Food for Thought Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays by appointment only. Students can review relevant policies and sign up for an appointment slot Tuesday, April 7 or Friday, April 10 via this form: https://forms.gle/aJGwu64uz38F4P4f9.

This form remains open until 5:00 pm on Thursday, April 9 so students can sign up for appointment slots on Friday. If you sign up for a Tuesday, April 7 appointment after 11:59 pm on Monday, April 6, we cannot guarantee we will be able to fulfill your special requests.

The Food for Thought Pantry is in University Center A and will be administering bags of food in front of the College of Motion Picture Arts. Students are asked to restrict their visits to their appointment times and can expect to present their current FSUCard. Please do not attempt to enter the building.

As of March 18, 2020, students who have traveled outside of Tallahassee will be asked not to utilize the Pantry until further notice. For additional information on this University-wide policy, please consult: https://news.fsu.edu/coronavirus-frequently-asked-questions/.

Community partners expect to remain open for the foreseeable future. Students who are unable to visit the Pantry should consider referencing this list of pantry referrals compiled by Second Harvest: List of Local Pantries.

Please note: Utilization policies are liable to change as we receive new information. We will continue to issue announcements as we receive updates.

The Department of Student Support and Transitions runs a food pantry for students who are in need of food. The food pantry is located in University Center A, Suite 4148.

Students are required to show their current FSUCard and to sign a waiver form. Due to limited resources, students are requested to take only one bag of food at a time, but may visit the food pantry as often as necessary.

Donations of non-perishable food items are much appreciated, as are cash or gift card donations. For more information, contact the Department of Student Support and Transitions at 644.2428!
