Uphold the Garnet and Gold
Convocation was an excellent time to debut a new Uphold the Garnet and Gold Statement with a Tucker Center packed with thousands of new Noles. Vice President for Student Affairs Amy Hecht shared with the students that as a collegiate community, we thrive when we have an open mind, an interest to learn others’ perspectives, and a commitment to civil discourse.
She stated that these principles are shared in our Uphold the Garnet and Gold Statement and that students had recently helped update this statement. Convocation attendees then watched the Uphold video debut, that you can also see by clicking here.
Hello FSU!
Florida State has launched Hello FSU! a student engagement campaign created to inform Noles of the many student success focused events and resources available to them at Florida State.
Hello FSU! “Weekly Top 5” graphics are posted on FSU Division of Student Affairs social media channels on Monday. These posts inform students of five important things they need to know for the week. Plus students and families will find “How to FSU,” “Spotlight,” “Success Tips,” and “In Case You Missed It” posts on social media throughout the week.
This initiative is a partnership of departments from the Division of Student Affairs, Undergraduate Studies and departments from throughout the university.
