IFC FSU Charity Golf Invitational
The Interfraternity Council at Florida State University is proud to present our annual IFC Charity Golf Invitational, which will be held on Sunday, September 25th, 2022, at Southwood Golf Club. The proceeds raised from this year’s tournament will be donated to the following three areas: a local charitable organization, a national charitable organization, and our IFC Needs-Based Scholarship. The local charitable organization for this year’s event is Project Annie Inc., which is a not-for-profit charity organization in Tallahassee that provides food services to families, children, seniors, and persons with disabilities within low-income, economically displaced situations and areas. Project Annie is developing a new initiative: Annie’s Nursery, a preschool program in the Frenchtown community that requires a great deal of support. The proceeds from this event will help their project come to fruition. The national charitable organization for this year’s event will be Light the Night, which is a fundraising campaign with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), in an effort to raise money for funding research to find blood cancer cures. Finally, the IFC Needs-Based Scholarship is a program that funds the membership dues of three recipients, each semester. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist and provide the opportunity of fraternal experience to those that cannot afford the financial burden of our current IFC organization’s monetary obligations. The winning team of the invitational will receive $1,500 towards a charity of their choice, sponsored by the Interfraternity Council at Florida State University.
