Preparing for Spring 2021: University Housing Updates

As students begin to arrive back on campus in the spring for classes, new and returning students planning to live in FSU residence halls have some important information to look over prior to their move-in.

Move-in begins on January 4 at 5 p.m. All new and returning students must sign up for a spring move-in time. Move-in appointments will begin Monday, January 4 through Tuesday, January 19.

Students living in residence halls should have received an email to their MyFSU email addresses in November that includes the link to the SignUp Genius used for scheduling your move-in appointment. If your student cannot find this email, they can access the sign-up link here or on the University Housing Spring 2021 Move-In page. On this page as well, students and families can find detailed instructions on how to schedule a move-in appointment.

In addition to scheduling a spring move-in time, students are also required to schedule a COVID test at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center in Tallahassee. Students should sign up for a COVID test about an hour before their move-in appointment. COVID tests will be available on weekdays and weekends.

If your student has tested positive in the last 90 days and obtained a COVID test off-campus, be prepared to provide documentation to University Health Services.

If your student has tested positive in the last 90 days and obtained a COVID test from University Health Services or at the Civic Center, University Housing will have this on file for your student.

It is to be noted that University Housing and FSU will not accept any off-campus test results; all FSU students moving into a residence hall must test with the Civic Center.

For students that have tested positive in the last 90 days under the two circumstances above, visit the University Housing Spring 2021 Move-In page for more instructions.
