Make Up/Schedule Exception Policy

  • Per FSU’s policy, in order to receive an exception to your regularly scheduled time, you must obtain approval from your appropriate academic dean. This is required for an individual undergraduate student seeking an exception to the examination policy.

    • The student must first receive written permission from the instructor if he/she is willing to give a make-up exam at a specified time within the exam week.

    • The student must then petition the dean, giving the reason for the requested exception, and supported by the instructor's written permission.

    • The dean will then notify the instructor in writing if the approval is granted.

    • You must also provide us written permission from the instructor that the approval is granted.
