Scheduling an Exam at the OAS Testing Center
Exams should be taken at the same time as the rest of the class unless the instructor provides documented permission. If there is a scheduling conflict, reach out to your instructor in advance to determine an appropriate testing time.
All exam appointments prior to Final Exam Week must be scheduled in the OAS Portal at least two business days in advance. Please note that business days do not include weekends or official university holidays, so be sure to book your seat early!
See the information below to learn about managing your OAS Testing schedule:
- Alternative Testing: how to submit, modify, and cancel a testing request.
During a non-holiday week:
| If you want to TEST on... | You must SCHEDULE by 11:59 p.m. on... |
|---|---|
| Monday | The preceding Wednesday |
| Tuesday | The preceding Thursday |
| Wednesday | The preceding Friday |
| Thursday | Monday of that week |
| Friday | Tuesday of that week |
*During a holiday week, adjust the scheduling deadlines according to the number of days the University is closed. For example, if the University is closed on a Monday, the deadline to schedule an exam on Tuesday is the preceding Wednesday.

What to Expect at the OAS Testing Center
Your FSU ID Card (or another photo ID) is required for check-in, along with any other materials approved by your instructor.
Leave all backpacks, cell phones, and personal items on the bookshelves in the corner of the OAS Lobby. Devices must be completely silenced (and alarms turned off) before storing.
The center maintains a quiet environment by enforcing a strict no-talking rule in testing areas. Students must also ensure all testing rooms and lobby doors are closed gently and fully.
OAS Testing Policies
To ensure a fair, secure, and quiet environment where everyone can focus, all students are expected to uphold the FSU Academic Honor Policy. This means arriving with a valid photo ID, following staff instructions, keeping the space distraction-free, and leaving all unauthorized devices, bags, and materials outside the testing center. Violations will result in an immediate end to your exam and a report to your instructor. Some violations may be reported to the Department of Student Conduct and Community Standards.
See FSU's Academic Honor Policy.
