COVID-19 Testing On-Campus

If your student is experiencing COVID-like symptoms or has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, it is important that your student self-isolates and schedules a COVID-19 test with the University. Testing on campus allows the University to appropriately support your student--please have a conversation with your student and explain the following reasons why testing on campus is essential:

Social distancing is a practice that discourages people from being close in contact with others to reduce the spread of an illness, like COVID-19. By limiting interactions, you are lessening the opportunity of the virus to spread. For a college campus, this means going to classes, attending large-scale university programs, utilizing large public spaces, etc. could potentially enhance the spread of COVID-19.

As a family member, you may be concerned about your student’s well-being and what they can do to remain healthy despite coming in contact with a large population of people (and germs) daily.
